This month: Bologna, Italy
Not a hidden gem list. One city, written properly — streets, food, weather, who lives there, and how to actually spend the days.
Discover is a monthly series. We pick a place travellers can reach and plan on SkyStayTravel, then stay with it long enough to be useful. Each city guide has Stay22 links for the neighbourhoods — a list of stays in that area, not a hotel we named for you.
This month
Bologna, Italy is not Florence with a different pasta shape. It is Emilia’s food-and-university capital: kilometres of porticoes, a market you can smell before you see it, and regional trains to Modena and Ravenna. Go if you want inland Italy that still works for a living.
October is a strong month for it — students back, walking weather, food season in full voice, and no “missed the beach” problem. Read the full guide before you pick a neighbourhood. The city changes every few streets under the arches.
