Larnaca (LCA) versus Paphos (PFO)
Larnaca (LCA) is the island’s main international airport, close to Larnaca town and the usual landing for Ayia Napa, Protaras and much of the east. Paphos (PFO) serves the west: Kato Paphos, Coral Bay and hotels that actually mean Paphos on the booking screen.
Limassol sits between them. A cheaper fare into the farther airport is not a bargain once the transfer is honest. Partner searches should resolve to the code that matches your hotel, not a generic Cyprus label.
Airlines on this route
easyJet, Ryanair, Jet2, TUI and Cyprus Airways appear. Compare LCA (Larnaca) vs PFO (Paphos) against your resort.
Non-stop versus a stopover
From the UK, non-stops into LCA or PFO are common in the summer season and more mixed in winter. A connection via Athens or a Gulf hub is rarely the first choice unless it restores bags or matches a regional UK departure. From farther away, one-stop is normal.
When the island is busy
UK school holidays, Easter and July–August firm up both seats and east-coast rooms. May–June and September–October often balance swimming weather with saner transfers. Winter is quieter; some beach tavernas close.
Transfers, cars and the rest of the week
Prebooked transfers beat arguing with a meter at 01:00. A hire car pays off for Akamas and Troodos, not for a lagoon-pool week. Use the Cyprus stays guide before you lock the airport. Related sun: London–Heraklion.
